The Board of Disciplinarians
(BOD) is the main and largest combination of boards in St Xavier's Institution. Consisting of 4 boards, the school is run by board members who perform their duties in ensuring discipline and well-being is preserved in school.

  • Board of Prefects
    - The Elite board of SXI, which consists of members who have been promoted from their positions in the 3 other boards. These are the guys (and gals) who are clad in smart white uniforms complete with the school blazer. They dutifully maintain discipline and peace of the school environment as well as make sure nobody violates any of the school rules.

  • Board of Break Monitors
    - Break Monitors are on duty in the canteen to control the crowd and making sure every student lines up according to the queue when buying food. Also observes discipline during meal time so that nobody ends up with a bowl of mee on his head.

  • Board of Traffic Wardens
    - Traffic Wardens are your guides as you safely reach the grounds of SXI every morning. They control traffic and direct cars to their parking lots so that everyone has a place to park their car. They also ensure that traffic flows smoothly during peak hours before and after school to prevent any traffic congestions.

  • Board of Class Monitors
    - Selected students of each class who hold posts as Class Monitor, Asst. Class Monitor and Class Treasurer. They ensure that the class is kept clean and assist with teachers with class keys, duty roster and hand-ins of assignments. Treasurers collect funds for notes and photocopied handouts.

    OTHER BOARDS & TEAMS

  • The Board of Librarians
    - Librarians perform duties in the school library, providing services such as loaning of books, magazines and chess sets. They process new books, shelve accordingly for easy reference and ensure that silence is maintained in the library for a condusive studying environment. The school library also provides photostating services, laminating services and book-wrapping services at minimal fees.

  • The Editorial Board
    - The people behind the annual school magazine. They are responsible for collecting articles, snapshots and planning of the school magazine. Their photography section is in charge of taking photos of each class, board, club and staff body in the school. Your student cards are processed here, too.

  • S.A.V.E Team
    - The Saint's Audio and Visual Effects team (also known as S.A.V.E Team) are the people behind the scenes during school functions and assembly. They coordinate speakers, microphones, sounds and lighting for optimum presentation of each function.

  • WEB TEAM
    - Known as the IT experts (aka computer geeks; not really!), they are the designers and webmasters of the school website - SXI Online. The webteam members utilise the latest in design technology to educate aspiring web designers with the knowledge and skills of graphics and web programming. In charge of taking videos and multimedia of special events exclusively for VCD production.
